Items donated by Sylvester Stallone, including personal memorabilia from the Rocky franchise, will be auctioned at Julien’s Auctions.

Rocky Star and action film icon Sylvester Stallone has auctioned numerous memorabilia from his 50-year career, including items from the Rocky Franchise. The star has played the Philadelphia underdog boxer in 8 films, including 2015 Faith. The character’s last appearance was in 2018 Creed II, where the boxer stepped out of the spotlight and announced to Stallone that he would not be returning Creed III.

Stallone has had a long, prominent career portraying some of the most iconic characters in cinema, portrayed by John J. Rambo of the Rambo Franchise, Judge Dredd of Judge Dredd, and John Spartan from Demolition Man. The actor’s career spans nearly five decades, from uncredited roles in 1969 to 2021, where he voiced King Shark in James Gunns The suicide squad. His most iconic and longest running role, however, remains that of Rocky Balboa, with the actor now offering his fans memorabilia from these productions from his personal collection.

As reported by Collider, the star donated numerous items from his nearly fifty years of filmography to Julien’s auctions on a slate entitled “Properties from the Life and Career of Sylvester Stallone”. Along with articles from films like First blood, Judge Dredd, Demolition Man, and The Expendables, the slate contains many articles from the Rocky Franchises, from on-screen items like the title character’s boxing gloves and boots to Stallone’s personal handwritten notebooks that he used to come up with ideas for the franchise. Darren Julien, CEO and President of Julien’s Auctions, spoke about the impact of Stallone’s careers, such as how Rocky and Rambo became cultural icons and two of Hollywood’s greatest characters, and how his company is proud to showcase the collection.
